Oxford Centre has, for over 50 years, been working hard to “prosper and promote the work of the National Trust”, as our Constitution requires.

We continue to donate to the National Trust and their range of projects. We have, in previous years, supported renovations and innovations at local properties, including Nuffield Place, Hughenden, Greys Court, Cliveden, Stowe and Coleshill & Buscot. Recently, this includes sponsoring planting over 300 trees at Coleshill Park.

It is our wonderful members that make all that possible. We are immensely grateful for their continued support.

Join Us

The National Trust welcomes the support of groups such as the Oxford Centre all over the country raising funds for local properties through their activities, and providing a forum for shared enthusiasm towards preserving our cultural heritage and the natural environment.

Join us if you would like to support these aims, at the same time enjoying the company of a group of like-minded people who get together for a range of activities which further our interest in our heritage. You do not have to be a member of the National Trust to become a member of the Oxford Centre.

Every Oxford Centre member’s subscription adds to the donation we are able to make to local properties at the end of the year and helps to demonstrate how much we care for the National Trust and their special places, preserved for us all.

Every event that we are able to hold also adds a small amount to our annual donation to the Trust to help with the huge cost of maintaining their work. We are offering a varied programme of events in the coming months, as can be seen on our Events pages. 

Our Membership subscription is only £10 a year, £15 for members sharing an address, plus £5 if you require a printed Newsletter to be posted to you, rather than sent by email. Please download the Application Form, complete it and return it to our Membership Secretary at the address on the form, by email or post.

Nature gives us so much. Lush green woodlands, serene coastal paths, the simplicity of a rushing stream – these can be the answer to the need for quiet we all seek. The message our founders carried, and the one we still carry to this day, is simply: everyone needs nature. You can help it last for ever.

It was our founders’ vision to open up natural, quiet spaces for everyone to feel uplifted in their daily lives. 125 years later, we’re still caring for green spaces so people can take some time to pause, make memories with loved ones in places teeming with life and ultimately feel calmer through the beautiful outdoors.
